Mega-budget, funded by donations received on Kickstarter Star Citizen is once again holding a free flight event, allowing people to try out the space simulation for a week without paying anything.
According to the developer team Cloud Imperium, players will be able to make as many flights as they want by trying one of 10 different spaceships until July 19.
Star Citizen Free Weekend Event Starts
This special free weekend event is part of the Founders Festival, a period of celebration of sorts for Star Citizen players. Part of this festival will be an improved experience for new players and a new guide system that brings old players together with new players. Those who attend guided sessions during the festival will receive armor and weapon bonuses.
Star Citizen is still not a finished project despite the over $700 million it has collected from Kickstarter, but the game’s director, Chris Roberts, stated earlier this year that the game is finally approaching version 1.0.
