Elon Musk, who has introduced many features for X, from artificial intelligence to video calling, has recently been considering relaunching Vine. After TikTok was banned in the USA, Elon Musk took action for Vine.
Elon Musk announced that they are working on Vine
Musk’s latest move is interpreted as an approach that shows that he cares about users’ opinions. However, the real question is how Musk will position Vine. So it is unclear whether it will be a feature within X or a separate application.

In a survey he previously asked Twitter users, “Should Vine come back?” Musk asked and gave clues about the future of the platform. According to this survey, the majority of users stated that they supported the return of Vine.
Vine has strong brand awareness and nostalgic value. This could potentially create a significant source of revenue for X and provide a competitive advantage over rivals such as TikTok. On the other hand, integrating X into the main structure may disrupt the balance of content on the platform and negatively affect the current user experience.
Vine, where only old videos can be watched, was completely closed as of January 17, 2017. Dom Hofmann, one of the founders of Vine, previously announced that they had developed Byte, which will be a continuation of the application in question. However, after a short period of use, the Byte platform was closed.
