The Tribit Stormbox Blast model was our review guest today. We can say that it is a high-end speaker in terms of design and performance. If you wish, let’s take a closer look at this model without further ado.
Tribit StormBox Blast review!
We are in the middle of the summer holiday period. We had some holidays, we took advantage of our holiday season, but we are making new plans. So, what is the product that a holidaymaker will never miss? In my opinion, the Bluetooth speaker is at the top of the list. Today, we are here again with a speaker that will rank among the top.
First, I want to start with the design details. Currently facing you, the front of the speaker, there are two 4-inch woofers. These woofers have 1.2-inch tweeters at the top and corners. When we look at the right and left sides, there are passive radiators with Tribit logos on them. This creates a vibration effect along with the sound produced by the woofer. You will notice this part fluctuating, especially when listening to music with high bass. It has booming bass and a mode called XB. We can turn on this mode via the controls at the top.
The speakers are only located on the front, not on the back. When we come to the back, there is a cover. When we open this silicone cover, entrances and exits greet us. There is a power input, Type-C input and AUX input. You can also provide a wired connection with these inputs. It is possible to charge via Type-C input. Additionally, since this speaker has a large battery, it can also be used as a power bank and we can charge our devices.
There is a carrying handle on the top of the speaker and it weighs approximately 5.5 kilograms. I can’t say it’s a lightweight device, but it can’t be said to be very heavy either. You can carry it with you to your plans and events. If it is not in your hand or bag, we can say that it is partially portable if you have a vehicle. The 5.5 kilogram weight is entirely up to your use. By the way, we said that there is a silicone cover on the back. The reason for this is that it has an IPX7 certificate. In this way, it is resistant to water. In other words, you can use it anywhere in the pool or sea by throwing it into water.
I want to talk about the controllers on the top. First of all, there is the power button, next to it is the Bluetooth icon. You can start pairing from here with this pairing button. There are volume down and volume up buttons. There is a circular button in the middle of them. When you press this button once, it pauses playback, and when you double-click, it moves to the next song. You will see a sun icon. This allows the lighting on the front of the device to switch to different modes. You can activate this mode with the XB key.
This speaker can deliver 90 watts of output power. In this way, we can listen to quality music at high volume. If you wish, let’s continue with the features offered by the speaker. First, I would like to talk about the XB mode, which is the feature I like the most. Thanks to this feature, a distortion-free, rich and balanced sound is provided. With this technology, we can get the 90 watt sound output we need in high quality. Distortion, that is, distortions in sound, is reduced to a minimum. By turning on this mode, we can experience distortion-free sound.
We said that there is a light mode button on the controllers on the top of the speaker. So what does this button do? When you press this button, you can switch between different lighting modes. The device has 32 different LED lighting. In this way, we can enjoy our music in an integrated way with the music we play. The bars on the side gradually show the volume level as you turn the volume up and down on the speaker. This detail is very useful if the phone is far away.
Let’s move on to the technical side. We said there are two 4-inch woofers and two 1.2-inch tweeters. The speaker can operate in the frequency range of 50 Hz and 20 kHz. This allows us to hear all the details in the music. It can deliver strong bass at low frequencies and a nice treble experience at high frequencies. It uses Bluetooth 5.3 technology, thus aiming to provide low latency and uninterrupted connection in long range.
The Tribit Stormbox Blast model also has software support. When you open the application, you can change the current lighting mode, control the volume, and adjust the equalizer settings. Software updates can also be made here. You can turn off the volume indicator light and the maximum volume beep sound. There is also a countdown feature for closing.
