Defense Industry Executive Committee Meeting is over! Important decisions have been made!

Turkey’s domestic and national defense industry is advancing every day. In addition, new weapons, aircraft and ammunition are also produced. Along with project-based progress, there are also important developments related to these projects. In particular, the Defense Industry Executive Committee Meeting held today witnessed very important decisions.

As of today, we can say that the defense industry projects that are being carried out in Turkey and are considered very important have been decided. In the press release made after the Defense Industry Executive Committee Meeting;

• STEEL DOME Project, which we are developing locally and nationally, ensures that our layered air defense systems and all our sensors and weapons are integrated with each other under a network structure, creating a common air picture, delivering it to operation centers in real time and presenting it to decision makers with artificial intelligence support.
• Projects related to the development of air defense and missile systems,
• Activities to be carried out in the future regarding the National Combat Aircraft KAAN project,
• Projects for the supply of BAYRAKTAR TB3, AKINCI and AKSUNGUR armed unmanned aerial vehicles and related subsystems, as well as swarm-capable, kamikaze and mini unmanned aerial and marine vehicle projects,
• Projects to improve our country’s space access capability,
• Systems that increase our situational awareness on land, air and sea, as well as electronic warfare systems and defense system projects against mini/micro unmanned aerial vehicles and kamikaze unmanned marine vehicles with swarm capability,
• Projects for the modernization of our tanks and warplanes in the inventory with local and national means, and projects for the development of engine and power transmission systems of air and sea vehicles,
• Projects for the supply of command control, communication and information management systems,
• Supply projects for Tactical Wheeled Armored Patrol Vehicles and Weapon Carrying Vehicles and various land vehicles, Marine vehicle projects for the supply of Coastal Tugboats and Boat Systems, Infrastructure creation projects for quantum technologies,
• National Competence Move in the Defense Industry Project aims to develop the human resources competency inventory needed in the development of products and systems that will bring technological superiority to our country, disseminate it in the sector and create value by ensuring its sustainability.

It was stated that the processes related to the project were discussed and the projects were decided.

With the meeting held, the mentioned projects were decided. In other words, the future plans of the projects have been finalized and career routes have been drawn. However, we can say that all the projects mentioned have gained momentum. Because the decisions taken determined the cornerstones of the projects and the process accelerated.
