Turkey’s first quantum computer “Quantum Computer of TOBB ETÜ” (QuanT), was developed by TOBB University of Economics and Technology and was presented to the public at the launch ceremony. In the presentation held with the participation of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün, QuanT was introduced by working with a 5-qubit system. It has the capacity to perform operations millions of times faster than classical computers.
This superior device, which can provide solutions to problems requiring big data analysis and optimization by performing millions of times faster transactions, will serve as a solution tool in strategic sectors such as Turkey’s defense industry, cyber security, artificial intelligence, energy optimization and drug development. In addition, it will provide the infrastructure for us to reach a leadership position in the open field by providing new algorithms to quantum technologies in our country.
Haluk Görgün, President of Defense Industries, He stated that this development will contribute to Turkey gaining a stronger position in global competition in the field of deep technology. Moreover, Work continues to establish a center of excellence where superconducting chips will be produced. announced.
TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu commented on the project as follows:
QuanT, that is, ‘Quantum Computer of TOBB ETÜ’, is a symbol that carries Turkey’s technology vision forward. Türkiye has become one of the few countries in the world developing quantum computers. Currently, there are only 15 countries in the world with quantum computer technology. We are proud to be one of the few countries that have this technology.
TOBB ETÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Sarinay He also stated that the university has given priority to working on quantum technologies and its subcategories in recent years. According to Sarınay, a Superconducting Chip Production House will be established to produce local and national superconductor chips that will support computer studies in this field.
Sarınay emphasizes that such a move will both make radical changes in the technological infrastructure of the future and reduce the country’s external dependence by making critical contributions to Turkey’s development in the field of technology.
Turkey’s first domestic quantum computer, developed by TOBB ETÜ, will be put into operation tomorrow.
An important statement was made regarding the defense industry contribution fee for credit cards with a limit of over 100 thousand TL. So, has this article been cancelled?
