Turkey’s Industrial Giants Announced: Which Company Comes First?

Tüpraş, which ranked first on the list, achieved sales of 484 billion TL in 2023. After Tüpraş, Ford Automotive took the second place with sales of 238 billion TL. Star Refinery, which ranks third, achieved sales of 227 billion TL.

Among the other famous brands on the list, white goods giant Arçelik ranked 7th with sales of 99.9 billion TL, while Mercedes-Benz Türk AŞ ranked 8th with 94.2 billion TL.

Regarding the Istanbul Chamber of Industry research, which included 500 companies in total, Istanbul Chamber of Industry Chairman Erdal Bahçıvan said that sales from production increased by 42.1% last year.

“It was not difficult to guess that this increase, which indicates a weak performance compared to 2021 and 2022, came from the end of 2022. When we look at the reasons why the growth in sales from production decreased to 42.1 percent in 2023, while it was 119 percent in the previous year; slowing global demand “The earthquake disasters we experienced consecutively on February 6 and the change in economic policies after the elections played a decisive role.”
