This feature is located directly in the message box and works similarly to other applications that support calls, such as WhatsApp and Instagram.

The feature caused controversy when it was announced, as some users didn’t seem too happy with the idea of receiving calls from people they didn’t know. Fortunately, users can control who can call them and even turn off the calling feature.

You can follow the steps below to change voice and video call settings via the application:

Open app X
Click on your profile picture above
Click on the settings and privacy tab
Select the privacy and security menu
Go to direct messages option
You can change your voice and video call preferences

You can choose to receive calls from people in your address book, accounts you follow, or only verified users. If you want to turn off calls on X completely, just turn off the “Enable voice and video calling” option. Let us point out that when you do this, no one will be able to call you via the X application.
