Ugreen introduced its new device that can charge five laptops

Ugreen announced a new version of its Nexode desktop GaN charger at CES 2025. The new model increases the total power output from 300W to 500W and can power up to 240W from a single USB-C port. The device has five USB-C and one USB-A ports, so it is possible to charge five laptops simultaneously without the need for bulky adapters.

The Nexode Desktop Charger 500W is primarily designed as a desktop solution, although it can be used to simplify charging needs during travel. This portable device is an ideal option for simultaneously charging multiple high-power devices at the desk, in the workshop or on the kitchen counter. Ugreen states that the device can charge not only laptops and portable gaming devices, but also equipment such as electric bicycles or power tools.

Supporting USB-PD 3.1 and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging protocols, the device offers connection flexibility. The top port can provide 240W power alone, while the other five ports share 260W power in total. However, none of these ports can exceed 100W. Depending on usage scenarios, you can charge a gaming laptop with 240W, while powering two other laptops with 100W and one device with 60W. Alternatively, it is possible to charge one device with 240W power and the other four devices with 60W power. The USB-A port can also provide up to 20W of power.

This charger without a display can make it difficult to keep track of which port is used for which device. However, thanks to its multiple ports and high power capacity, it offers a highly functional option to meet intense charging needs. In addition, Nexode 500W, which has a compact design thanks to GaN technology, aims to facilitate users’ energy management with high efficiency.

Ugreen’s Nexode Desktop Charger 500W model stands out as a remarkable solution, especially for professional users and people who need to charge multiple devices regularly. Pricing and market launch details of the device are expected to be clarified by March 2025.
