US equips warplanes with artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence pilots are coming

According to information received, the US Department of Defense decided to allocate a budget of 100 million dollars to research artificial intelligence pilot technologies, get real-time feedback and test new environments at the tactical level.

This budget will be part of the commissioning of the AI Rapid Capabilities Cell application solution, ending the Task Force Lima mission, which has been investigating how productive artificial intelligence applications suit the needs of the Ministry since last year.

$75 million of this budget was allocated to artificial intelligence pilot projects and SMEs developing projects for the Pentagon. As a result, the vehicles to be purchased will be applied to different departments, from logistics to intelligence and weapons development.

Of course, warplanes consisting entirely of artificial intelligence pilots are out of the question. There are possible scenarios such as weapons selecting more sensitive targets during an attack, radars becoming more sensitive, and data flow to the pilot during flight.
