Interesting claims have been made for Half-Life 3, Valve’s long-awaited sequel. GameUsers have caught some speculation that the company may be working on Half-Life 3. Could the iconic action-shooter series be returning after years?
Voice actor Natasha Chandel stated in her post on LinkedIn that she was working on a Valve project called “Project White Sands”. It is thought that this code name refers to Half-Life 3. Chandel also created more excitement when she removed her codename from her resume.
Details on the subject were shared by a YouTuber. It was discovered that the post included references to a project called “HLX” in the game code. As a result of the research, it was claimed that Valve was actively working on a non-VR Half-Life game. This production is thought to be Half-Life 3.
The latest installment of the Half-Life series was released in VR in 2020. In this context, the company has not continued the main non-VR story since 2007. However, let us underline that the developer has not officially announced any new Half-Life project yet.
Previous leaks also suggested that the company was developing a game called Deadlock. It would feature a 6v6 multiplayer format where players battle in four different arenas. Characters would have different abilities and players would strengthen their characters with the items they found on the map.
It’s still unclear whether HLX is a real Valve project. Although the company has not yet made an official statement, it is quite logical that it will expand its goals after Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike 2.
