Turkish Electricity Joint Stock Company (TEİAŞ) announced Turkey’s installed electrical power data for 2024. In addition to how much electricity is produced in the whole country, data on solar energy, which is expected to have a large electricity production rate in our country as well as all over the world in the new period, has also arrived.
According to the data obtained by the Turkish Electricity Joint Stock Company (TEİAŞ) until August 7, 2024, Turkey’s solar energy installed power reached 111 thousand 463 megawatts and solar energy installed power reached 16 thousand 4 megawatts. With these figures, solar energy accounts for 14 percent of our country’s total installed energy.
Energy Investors Association (GÜYAD) President Cem Özkök, in his statement on the subject, stated that both our energy power and the share of solar energy are increasing and drew attention to the importance of the sun in energy.
“Investors not only support the financing of the current account deficit, but also make significant contributions to the development of the real economy and technology, thanks to the activities carried out in our country by companies established with international capital.
