WhatsApp has launched a new security feature to increase the privacy level in users’ messaging experience. With the update of WhatsApp Beta 2.25.10.14 for the Android platform, the advanced chat privacy feature limits the automatically saved media files to the gallery and the export of chat history.

The new feature will enable users to have more control over selected chats. In speeches where the feature is activated, the photos and videos sent or received are not stored in the gallery of the device.

This function was valid only for lost messages before. All users who activate advanced chat privacy will now benefit from this media protection. This update is not limited to media access. When the confidentiality of advanced chat is activated, the conversation history of these interviews cannot be expressed.

This prevents the transfer of special speeches to unauthorized people or platforms. This restriction will constitute an additional layer of protection, especially in negotiations in terms of data safety. Thus, it will be possible to protect user data more strictly against external interventions.

However, no technical restrictions will be imposed on taking screenshots. WhatsApp has not designed a screenshot of a screenshot for this feature. The reason for this is that users can easily overcome such measures by WhatsApp web or third -party methods.
