When will artificial intelligence (Apple Intelligence) come to iPhones?

Apple Intelligence will not come with iOS 18 update

Apple will release the iOS 18 update in (mid or late) September, but this version will not include Apple Intelligence. Apple Intelligence will arrive with iOS 18.1 update. Looking at Apple’s historical calendar (iOS 17.1 October 25, iOS 16.1 October 24, iOS 15.1 October 25) iOS 18.1 is not expected to be released until the end of October. Since Apple doesn’t typically release major software updates on Fridays, iOS 18.1 could arrive on October 23, 24, or 28.

Apple Intelligence features coming with iOS 18.1

• New Siri with new animation effects and features
• Smart writing tools that can rewrite and summarize selected text
• Create a memory movie in the Photos app
• Smart reply in apps like Messages and Mail
• Smart summaries for notifications
• Web page summaries in Safari
• Priority messages in Mail
• Natural language search in photos

Apple to release ChatGPT integration likely in December iOS 18.2 will present it with an update. It is not clear when tools such as Genmoji and Image Playground will arrive. Additionally, it will not be possible to experience some of Siri’s new capabilities until 2025.
