As we enter 2025, flagship excitement has begun on the Samsung side, as every year. According to recent leaks, Samsung will announce the Galaxy S25 series at the Unpacked event on January 22. Although there is no official information yet, it may now be clear what the Galaxy S25 series will use as a processor. Here are the details.
Galaxy S25 series may be announced only with Snapdragon 8 Elite processor
As the countdown continues for the Galaxy S25 series to be announced by Samsung, its features are becoming clear day by day. As we know from previous years, Samsung included both Snapdragon and Exynos processors in different markets in the flagship models it announced every year.
This year, according to the latest claims, Samsung may have changed plans for the Galaxy S25 series. However, only the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor can be announced for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Previously, it was said that the Exynos 2500 processor for the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ could be introduced in some markets.
The reason for this change may be that Exynos 2500 could not deliver the expected performance. Snapdragon 8 Elite was introduced in October and is produced with the 3nm manufacturing process. Produced as a rival to Apple’s A18 Pro processor, the 8 Elite can be announced with an improved version for the Galaxy S25, as in previous years.
If we look at its other features, there will be a design change for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Instead of the sharp edges on the S24 Ultra, a slightly more curved design will be offered. As for the screen, 6.16 inch, 6.66 inch, and 6.86 inch screens will be used for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, respectively.
