Seagull organized a big festival for 100 thousand TAG drivers in Istanbul. This event, called TAGFest, took place at Ora Arena with the participation of thousands of TAG drivers and Martı users. After the event, Martı founder and CEO Oğuz Alper Öktem talked about the shared travel regulation, the cornerstones of environmentally friendly transportation and safe transportation in his interview with ShiftDelete.Net Founder Hakkı Alkan. Afterwards, it became a hot topic with the announcement of a possible Togg order. So what’s the latest situation?
The 100k Togg order won’t be arriving anytime soon! Here’s why
This regulation is implemented in more than 150 countries and more than 10 thousand cities around the world. Therefore, Turkey is also expected to join this global movement. In fact, Martı and the TAG company under its umbrella also advocate this, and its founder Oğuz Alper Öktem emphasizes this in every speech.
During his interview with Alkan, Öktem said that they met with banks and could order 100 thousand Togg T10X for TAG drivers. These words of Öktem became trending on social media. Thereupon, in his post on his X account, he said that there are 120 thousand TAG drivers and that there are 90 thousand people who do not have vehicles but applied to become TAG. Then he concluded, “Togg suits us well. That’s why we expanded to the New York Stock Exchange. “We have been trying for a year to get the financing from there.” He finished by saying.
After this, no statement came from the parties and government officials on the issue. However, it turned out that although Martı met with banks for financing for TAG, he did not have any official meetings with Togg. Of course, the company may be waiting for the regulation to change for this. However, for now, we can say that there will be no 100 thousand Togg T10X orders in the near future. Togg has already given priority to individual users in orders.
