Windows 11 renews the Start menu!

Microsoft is preparing to completely renew the Start menu of Windows 11. In the new design, which aims to make the user experience more simple and functional, the “proposed” section, which has been criticized for a long time, will be closed.

In addition, the Start menu will move into a single -page shifable layout, allowing users to access both fixed applications and all installed applications more easily. The current Windows 11 start menu is divided into three main sections: fixed applications, recommended content and all applications list.

With the new design, this structure is replaced by a wider and longer menu. Users will be able to navigate faster between fixed applications and all applications, thanks to the new scroll panel.

A new option is added to the settings, especially for the “Recommended” section, which is criticized. With this setting, users can completely disable the recommended files and applications on the Start menu.

However, the closure of this feature will also affect the latest files tab shown in the File Explorer. Microsoft is expected to make these two options independent in the final version.

In the new Start menu, not only appearance, but also functionality is increased. The “All Applications” section can be displayed with three different layouts in the list, grill and category. Microsoft has not yet officially announced its new design, but the update is expected to be available in the second half of the year.

It should also be noted that the design that is currently in the test phase may undergo some changes in the final version. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
