While the “better” war between Android and iOS continues at full speed, one of the most important arguments of iPhone users is undoubtedly an ecosystem. As you know, Apple products are always and almost perfect communication with each other and offer certain conveniences in the lives of people who use more than one Apple device.
For example, checking the iPhone through Mac, such as easy file transfer or simply handle a text that you copy on a device on another device by gluing it quickly. Unfortunately, the clutter on the Android-Windows front does not allow such comprehensive control and communication. Or at least so far. Because Microsoft has interesting plans.
Copilot will check your Android phone over Windows 11
Microsoft has been struggling for a long time to strengthen the connection between Android phones and Windows computers. In this respect, the company has made many different experiments so far and finally appeared with the Phone Link application.
This application, which is built in Windows 10 and 11, can be downloaded via the Play Store and allows you to control Android phones from the computer. However, Phone Link does not see the interest of the company from users. For this reason, Microsoft has signed a controversial decision.
Microsoft, which has been gaining artificial intelligence features to Windows 11 for a while, added another feature to Copilot in its latest update. With this feature, Windows 11 users will be able to instruct Copilot about what needs to be done on Android phones.
Unfortunately, this feature includes a more advanced version of the Phone Link, not to provide control from the computer on your phone, but that Copilot is full of access to your phone and doing things on your behalf. Even when we put the concerns of the situation about the confidentiality of personal data, we cannot reach the ideal result even when we put it on one side.
Simon Batt from XDA says the following about the specialist he had the opportunity to try:
I arranged a 25 -minute timer to Copilot and got notification on my phone. However, I had to approve the notification from my phone to start the timer. I mean, I couldn’t start the timer without taking the phone. This greatly weakens the main purpose of Copilot’s feature.
The latest update of Windows 11 has also brought great problems!
Microsoft recently released a new update for Windows 11. The new version brought with it some annoying problems, just like the previous ones.
Unfortunately, Microsoft sees this in particular not to achieve the target. Who knows, maybe Android and Windows users should accept that you will never have the desired ecosystem for years.
