Blizzard and Hasbro introduced the new costumes that Overwatch 2 will offer in collaboration with the popular mecha toy series Transformers. The two companies showed off costumes inspired by three Autobots and a Decepticon in an animated trailer posted on the Overwatch YouTube channel today.

In the trailer, Transformers costumes can be seen assigned to the characters Reinhardt, Bastion, Illari, and Ramratta. Reinhardt will appear as Optimus Prime, the brave leader of the Autobots. Bastion will be Bumblebee; Illari will appear as Arcee in her pink costume, and Ramratta will appear as Megatron, the fearsome leader of the Decepticons. Many Overwatch 2 players are wondering how Transformers costumes will fit in with the game’s aiming, collecting, and respawning mechanics.

This Transformers collaboration comes on the heels of the game’s collaboration with Porsche back in May. In collaboration with Porsche, the German company’s newest models were added to the game as special costumes developed for D.Va and Pharah. Earlier this year, players were able to dress Cassidy as Spike Siegel and Ashe as Faye Valentine during the Cowboy Bebop collaboration. Last year, fans were able to dress Doomfist up in the costume of One-Punch Man’s hit anime character Saitama.

The Overwatch 2 x Transformers collaboration starts tomorrow. Blizzard did not provide information about the price tag of the Transformers costumes, nor did it specify whether these costumes could be won for free with in-game rewards. For example, the Cowboy Bebop and Porsche costumes were quite expensive, so you can expect to pay a high price for the Transformers costume you like. Still, this collaboration could be appealing to gamers who played with Transformers action figures and watched the animated series as kids.
