WhatsApp offered the ability to set whether or not your profile photo will be visible to anyone according to your preferences. However, it was not possible to know whether your profile photo was screenshotted or not.
Now WhatsApp is working on a new privacy feature that aims to completely protect your profile photo. With future updates, users will be able to block people who take screenshots of their profile pictures.
Profile Photo Screenshot Prevention
The screenshot blocking feature for profile photo is expected to eliminate the risk of your profile picture being shared with others without permission and increase user privacy.
Someone who has access to see your profile photo and tries to take a screenshot will receive a notification saying “To protect everyone’s privacy on WhatsApp, this screenshot has been blocked.”
Thanks to the notification of this feature, the use of your profile picture without your permission and knowledge will be eliminated. Thus, you will be able to use your profile photos easily.
Who Viewed My WhatsApp Statuses? How can I see?
Status sharing feature has been introduced to Instagram, Facebook and instant messaging application WhatsApp. WhatsApp users can share whatever they want on their status, just like on Instagram and Facebook.
The new feature is currently available to a small number of iOS testers through the TestFlight Beta Program. The feature, which is still in beta phase, is expected to be available to all users in the coming months.
