Alberto Paduanelli, who is both an aviation enthusiast and a family man, turned his garage into a flight simulator. Paduanelli, who started this project during the quarantine period, took three and a half years to complete everything.
Paduanelli, a father of two, spent money as well as time on this project. He spent £130,000 to turn his garage into a flight simulator.
Boeing 737 Simulator is Realistic!
Paduanelli’s biggest motivation in realizing this project was his experience, as well as his passion for aviation and electrical engineering background, which he has had for many years. Stating that he travels a lot for his job and uses the 737 frequently, the enthusiast also states that he only experiences this as a passenger.
Set up in the home’s garage, the Boeing 737 flight simulator includes real maps and weather updates to deliver an authentic experience. This includes a first-class lounge and even a lounge above the garage offering entertainment such as coffee, biscuits, table football and Xbox.
43-year-old Alberto Paduanelli realized his lifelong passion for flying by turning his home into a 737-800 pilot cabin, and he states that it offers aviation enthusiasts, hobbyists and pilot candidates the chance to fly to airports around the world using the simulator. Padunelli also adds:
What is a Flight Engineer and what does it do?
Since the creation of human beings, flying has always been one of their biggest dreams. This dream came true in 1903 by the American Wright brothers.
”Since I was little, my dream has been to build a real, fully functional cockpit. I was 3 years old, my uncle came to visit us, he was also interested in aviation as he was a pilot in the Italian army. He brought me and my brother a small floppy disk with a flight simulator game as a gift. This little game was everything to me at the time, it was a little Cessna cockpit where you had to press all these buttons and things would move. It was my first time seeing something like this and it was very impressive. As I grew, so did technology. More and more simulators from different companies appeared on the market and the process was the same, you install the game on a computer, connect a joystick and fly. Although the simulation and controls became increasingly realistic over the years, you never felt like a real pilot because all you had was a joystick and keyboard. “Finally, I started dreaming and planning that one day, if I had the money and enough space, I could build a real cockpit, a 100 percent functional cockpit.”
