Apple got the expected feature for Photos
There may be various reasons why you may lose your photos or Photos and videos disappear on any Apple ecosystem operating system you use. With the newly added features to the Photos application, you may have lost your photos after the update. Likewise, some images may not have been saved correctly to the Photos library.
iOS With the operating system updates coming to 18, iPadOS 18 or macOS Sequoia, it will now be possible to scan and recover your damaged or lost photos and videos. However, if you do not have this type of file on your device, you will not see anything in this folder.
View recoverable files on iOS
- To unlock your Recently Deleted album on iOS 16, iPadOS 16.1 or later Face ID or use Touch ID.
- Tap a photo or video, then tap Recover. To recover multiple photos, tap Select, select your photos or videos, and then tap Recover.
- Confirm that you want to recover photos or videos.
View recoverable files on macOS
- On macOS Ventura or later, use Touch ID or your sign-in password to unlock your Recently Deleted album.
- Click the photo or video.
- Click Recover.
