BYD Song Plus has two different versions: 100% electric and PHEV, that is, rechargeable hybrid. In Turkey, only the PHEV version called DM-i is sold. The model in question offers a total of 160 kW power and 300 Nm torque with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and electric motor. Equipped with a 18.3 kWh Blade battery, the pure electric driving range of the model reaches up to 113 km in the city.
Last month, 32,103 Song Plus DM-i units were sold in China. This means a 35 percent increase compared to the same month last year. In the same period, sales of the 100% electric version were 13,458 units. A total of 224,656 units of BYD Song Plus were sold in the first half of 2024.
BYD’s new energy vehicles are so far sold in 88 countries around the world. The Chinese brand has production bases in Thailand, Brazil, Hungary and Uzbekistan. Turkey will soon be added to these countries and PHEV, or rechargeable vehicles, will be produced here.
