GTA 6 Subscription plans for ? have fallen through?
GTA 6 will stay away from subscription services
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick announced that the company will not pursue subscription mods in its biggest game series. This means that the company’s popular productions, especially GTA 6, will not be added to services such as Xbox Game Pass.
In a recent interview, Zelnick was asked about the impact of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War being released on Game Pass. Zelnick acknowledged it could boost short-term subscriber growth. But he said Take-Two doesn’t support subscriptions.
Zelnick said in his statement: “Our decisions are rational. “We continue to believe that premium pre-sales are the best way to recoup significant development budgets and marketing spend for our largest series.”
Take-Two, which owns 2K and Rockstar Games; It distributes many games such as Grand Theft Auto 6 and Borderlands, Civilization and Mafia. Zelnick reiterated that none of these expected games will come to services such as Game Pass or PlayStation Plus.
It is quite obvious why Take-Two, the owner of billion-dollar series such as GTA and Red Dead, does not prefer subscriptions such as Game Pass. The company aims to maximize sales revenue by keeping its high-end games away from subscriptions.
