Let’s talk about the bad development that particularly concerns Game Pass subscribers in Turkey: Microsoft announced that users who ‘accumulate’ long-term Game Pass by purchasing consecutive monthly subscriptions will be blocked in the new period. Starting in September 2024, Microsoft will limit the subscription period to a maximum of 13 months. In summary, even if you renew your subscription repeatedly, you will not be able to do so for more than 13 months.

According to the company stated in the Frequently Asked Questions section, starting from September 18, 2024, the maximum extension period of Game Pass for Console will be 13 months. This change will not affect your account if you have more than 13 months of current usage, but after September 18, 2024, you will not be able to accumulate subscriptions for more than 13 months.

The main reason for this change is that Game Pass will be replaced with Game Pass Standard in the future. However, the new Standard version will not have many of the current benefits, including day one releases.
