Samsung’s One UI 7 update may bring significant changes to the user interface of Galaxy devices. Latest leaked screenshots reveal that this update includes some innovations, especially in quick settings and notification panels. Additionally, more rounded design elements stand out throughout the interface.
In the leaked images, it seems that the notification panel will be separated from the quick settings menu in One UI 7. In One UI 6, users had to swipe down once to access notifications and once again to access quick settings. With One UI 7, this layout may change and users will be able to make a clearer distinction between the notification panel and quick settings.
Innovations in design with One UI 7
The square shadows of the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth icons in One UI 6 have gained a more rounded appearance in One UI 7. This round design is evident not only in icons but also in notification bubbles and the main settings menu. These changes aim to make the overall aesthetics of the interface more modern and user-friendly.
A video obtained by Smartprix shows a new notification pop-up for timer and other system apps in One UI 7. This pop-up works similarly to the iPhone’s Dynamic Island animations. At the bottom of the screen, it is noteworthy that each application has rounded corners and the Gallery application icon has a more colorful design.
The screenshots also show a feature called “continuity notifications.” This feature allows users to send video call notifications to other Galaxy devices and continue the call from there. It’s similar to Google’s upcoming cross-device feature and Apple’s ability to handover FaceTime calls from iPhone to iPad or Mac.
This leaked information reveals that the One UI 7 update aims to improve the user experience. However, the features seen in these leaks may change before Samsung’s official release.
